Position Summary
The Lab Technician at L&K Distribution is responsible for following set protocols to process crude hemp oils into the final product. This role involves operating various processing equipment such as blenders, scales, and ovens, while ensuring precision in distillation and weighing tasks. Attention to detail and basic computer skills are essential for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments, performing necessary corrective and preventative maintenance.
- Assist team members on-site as needed.
- Ensure adherence to all product tracking, security, and movement protocols.
- Execute all assigned tasks, including oil extraction and processing, in a safe and efficient manner, complying with state regulations and standard operating procedures.
- Manage inventory of raw materials, finished goods, and by-products, promoting proactive behavior within the facility.
- Develop proficiency in extraction, refining, testing, and formulation techniques for various cannabis compounds, including the ability to create and implement manufacturing batch records and SOPs.
- Perform additional manual labor tasks as directed by supervisors.
Qualifications
- Capability to meet the physical demands of a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations.
- Familiarity with laboratory equipment and industrial machinery is advantageous.
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills.
- Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to lift and handle weights up to 40 pounds.
- 2-5 years of experience in the cannabis sector.
