Job Summary

Leidos is seeking a highly skilled Lead Substation Site-Civil Engineer to oversee our site/civil department in our Framingham, MA office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing a variety of electric utility projects, collaborating with clients, and leading a team of engineers and designers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead site development permitting, including NPDES, stormwater management, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Conduct research and gather site data through various sources
  • Design site layout, grading, and drainage systems
  • Develop stormwater models and designs
  • Design erosion and sediment control measures
  • Coordinate access road design and utility coordination
  • Develop retaining wall layouts and designs
  • Document supporting calculations and quantity take-offs
  • Prepare construction drawings and specifications
  • Conduct construction observation and field engineering
  • Collaborate with other design disciplines and business development teams
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 8+ years of directly applicable civil-site design experience
  • Management experience preferred
  • P.E. license preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation OpenSite Designer software
  • Experience with Hydraflow, ICPR, and other hydrologic and hydraulic modeling & design programs
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and staff
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%
