Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Teacher Assistant at Kama'aina Kids. As a Teacher Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children. Your responsibilities will include assisting lead teachers during lessons, providing individualized attention to children, and maintaining accurate records of their attendance and progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in Classroom Activities: Support lead teachers during lessons, playtime, and other activities to ensure a safe and positive classroom atmosphere.
  • Individualized Attention: Provide one-on-one attention to children, ensuring their needs are met and fostering their social and emotional development.
  • Supervision and Safety: Monitor children during outdoor play, snack time, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Activity Preparation: Assist in preparing materials, setting up learning centers, and organizing classroom resources to support a smooth and efficient learning environment.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behavior, and progress to support informed decision-making and communication with parents.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • First Aid & CPR/AED Certification (Qualified Training Provided).
  • No prior experience required; all training is provided for you, our enthusiastic new team member.
