About the Role

As a Nurse Unit Leader at Genesis HealthCare, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality healthcare services to our patients. This position involves collaborating with the Director of Nursing to ensure adequate nursing coverage and maintaining safe patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide professional guidance and supervision to non-professional unit staff
  • Identify educational needs of the staff and develop training programs
  • Oversee medication management to ensure compliance with company policy
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to achieve positive clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A graduate degree in licensed practical nursing from an accredited institution
  • Current licensure by the State Board of Examiners of Nurses in the nursing center's state
  • At least one year of nurse management experience
  • Maintenance of current BLS/CPR certification
