Job Summary

The Logistics Manager will oversee the daily outbound shipments to customers and other distribution centers within the organization. The successful candidate will ensure a safe and secure working environment while operating in a profitable manner.

This role is responsible for supervising the administration of transportation operations, ensuring all drivers and associates are properly trained in job duties, safety, and legal responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to motivate associates to achieve department goals and objectives.

A minimum of 4 years transportation/delivery experience is required, with at least 1 year of experience managing a hourly workforce. The Logistics Manager must have a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and be familiar with global positioning systems (GPS), such as XATA, and tools used to perform the job.

Responsibilities include:
• Directing and supervising drivers and clerical associates
• Conducting routine Safety and Driver Meetings
• Scheduling drivers for routes based on division devised methodology
• Investigating accidents and maintaining accident files

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Possess Commercial Drivers License (CDL) preferred
• A minimum of 4 years transportation/delivery experience required
• At least 1 year of experience managing a hourly workforce required
