Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Knipper HEALTH. As a Pharmacy Technician - Data Entry Specialist, you will play a critical role in processing prescriptions and ensuring accurate medication management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify prescription information for accuracy and completeness
  • Communicate with pharmacy representatives to ensure medication compliance and inventory management
  • Follow HIPAA and privacy guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and related files
  • Evaluate prescriptions for compliance with regulations and standards
  • Perform follow-up on outstanding prescriptions and communicate discrepancies to pharmacists or technicians
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Kentucky Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • Kentucky requires a licensed pharmacy technician to be over the age of 18
  • PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: One (1) year of previous specialty pharmacy technician experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Nationally certified through the PTCB or another approved certifying agency
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, brand and generic names of medications, and general pharmacy terminology
  • Computer literacy to include operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and communication tools
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position working 100% inside. The ideal candidate will be able to sit for prolonged periods, lift up to 20lbs, and have hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
