Speech Therapist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Wayne-Finger Lakes BOCES. As a Speech Therapist, you will work with students with emotional and learning disabilities, providing specialized instruction and creating a safe and orderly environment that fosters teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide students with a safe and supportive environment that promotes learning and growth.
- Develop and implement individualized instructional plans to meet the unique needs of students with emotional and learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide resources and support to meet student learning needs.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to ensure a collaborative approach to student success.
- Record and report student progress to inform instruction and make data-driven decisions.
Requirements:
- NYS Speech Therapist Certification is required.
- NYS Speech-Language Pathologist license is preferred.
- Experience working with students with autism, emotional, and/or developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Promoting equity and culturally responsive practices to create inclusive environments.
Physical Demands:
The position requires the successful completion of all elements of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training. Initial and refresher TCI Trainings are provided by W-FL BOCES.
