Job Summary:

This is a Department of Nursing Service position that requires the delivery of patient care with the knowledge of a Registered Nurse. The successful candidate will demonstrate clinical ability to work as a Primary RN on the unit to which assigned, coordinate patient care, complete required documentation, and participate in patient/family teaching and discharge planning.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership by working cooperatively with physicians, ancillary staff, and other administrative and support personnel in maintaining the standards of professional nursing practice.
  • Coordinate the delivery of patient care on the Unit, complete required documentation, and participate in patient/family teaching and discharge planning.
  • Maintain quality delivery of patient care by completing patient assignments in compliance with the Nursing Process, the Arizona Nurse Practice Act, TJC, and State regulations.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Nursing required
  • RN License in the State of AZ or another compact state
  • ACLS required upon hire
  • TNCC required within 6 months of hire
  • Moderate and Deep Sedation, EKG course, and NIHSS Stroke within 30 days of hire
  • 1 year experience in ICU preferred
