Mathematical Statistician

Join the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a Supervisory Mathematical Statistician and contribute to the Research, Applied Analytics and Statistics (RAAS) Division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing statistical methods and models to support the IRS's mission.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced mathematical statistician to lead a team of analysts and provide technical guidance on statistical projects. Your expertise will be essential in designing and implementing statistical models, analyzing data, and communicating results to stakeholders.

• Plan and coordinate statistical projects, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Develop and implement statistical models and methods to support the IRS's mission.
• Lead a team of analysts and provide technical guidance on statistical projects.
• Communicate results to stakeholders, including senior management and external partners.
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in statistical analysis, including experience with statistical software and programming languages.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Experience with data visualization and reporting tools.
