UnityPoint Health Family Medicine Physician Opportunity

UnityPoint Health is seeking a Family Medicine Physician to join our team at our Fort Dodge clinic. As a Family Medicine Physician, you will have the opportunity to provide high-quality patient care in an outpatient setting, working closely with a cohesive team of colleagues and supportive staff.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary care services to patients, including routine check-ups, health screenings, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Conduct physical exams, take medical histories, and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, prescribe medications, and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and guidelines.
Qualifications:
  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine.
  • Current and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Iowa.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain hospital privileges at UnityPoint Health.
