Ocean Lifeguard

We are seeking a highly skilled and physically fit individual to join our Ocean Lifeguard team in Martin County, FL. As an Ocean Lifeguard, you will be responsible for providing skilled protection of the lives, health, safety, and welfare of the public visiting our beaches.

• Provide basic first aid and assist with pre-hospital on-the-scene emergency medical care, including open water rescue of drowning victims.
• Maintain high standards of physical and cardiopulmonary fitness through established daily on-duty workout programs.
• Conduct routine checks of equipment to ensure that all first-aid supplies and life-sustaining equipment are maintained and operational at all times.
• Staff special needs shelters during times of emergency or major disaster.

• High School Diploma or acceptable equivalency diploma.
• Minimum of one thousand hours of ocean lifeguarding experience within twelve months of hire.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• First Responder Certification through Martin County Fire Rescue during New Hire Training onboarding process.
