Position Overview

The Cashier plays a crucial role in accurately counting and recording cash collections across various operational areas while ensuring a secure work environment. This role also involves maintaining internal audit controls related to cash, coin equipment, and documentation. The Cashier is responsible for upholding a clean and safe workplace and may assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately counts cash, coins, and checks on a nightly basis
  • Enters required daily documentation into internal systems using Microsoft Office and relevant software
  • Reconciles cash against documentation
  • Records daily cash room activities, including nightly deposits and variances
  • Monitors driver cash discrepancies for auditing purposes
  • Ensures cash room security and reports any issues
  • Conducts bi-annual checks of security systems and cash room access
  • Maintains internal audit controls related to cash and documentation
  • Assists Office Coordinators with branch activities and other administrative duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Basic math and reading proficiency
  • Familiarity with computer systems, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of integrity and ability to work independently
  • Organizational and problem-solving skills are preferred
  • Ability to lift bags of coins and other items as necessary
  • Occasional bending and lifting up to 30 lbs
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays
