We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Nursing Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals of all ages, utilizing a team-based approach to delegate and coordinate care. As a Nursing Care Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing nursing care, ensuring patient comfort and well-being.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, developing individualized care plans to meet their unique requirements.
- Deliver nursing care using evidence-based practices, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Medical Center policies, and professional standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Guide and direct Patient Care Technicians in providing patient care, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
- Maintain knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use, utilizing safeguards to maximize patient safety.
- Initiate emergency support measures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, as needed.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Iowa or compact state.
- At least one year of nursing experience, preferably in a similar role.
- Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter training within three months of hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of hire.
