The primary objective of this position is to provide comprehensive, safe, and effective nursing care for patients across the age continuum in accordance with established hospital policy and nursing practice standards.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide quality patient care according to established standards of care.
- Collaborate and coordinate patient discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the care team.
- Demonstrate appropriate application of age-specific standards, policies, and procedures in caring for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Incorporate cultural and developmental needs into the plan of care.
- Provide documentation of patient care in the patient record according to established standards of nursing care.
- Participate in performance improvement activities to maintain quality and promote desired outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing required; Associates degree required, BSN preferred.
- Current licensure in the State of North Carolina or compact multi-state RN license required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) is required upon hire.
- ACLS and PALS certifications through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) must be obtained within 6 months of employment.
