Job Summary

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking a skilled Audiologist to join our Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for administering and interpreting auditory/vestibular testing, fitting and dispensing hearing aids, and collaborating with ENT physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Define patient hearing impairment and/or balance disorder through consultation with referring physicians
  • Conduct, interpret, and document hearing and balance testing results
  • Determine the type and degree of hearing impairment and its potential effects on comprehension and speech
  • Fit and dispense hearing aids, administer bone-anchored hearing aid evaluations and programming, and perform cochlear implant evaluations and programming
  • Counsel patients with hearing loss and their families using effective communication strategies
  • Educate patients on hearing protection and maintain accurate patient records
Requirements
  • Masters Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders (CAA and ASHA accredited) required
  • Doctorate in Audiology preferred
  • ASHA certificate in Audiology (CCC-A) preferred
  • 1-year experience with adults preferred
  • Valid Florida audiology license required
