About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapy Specialist to join our team at United Urology Group. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering prescribed ionizing therapeutic radiation to patients under the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. Our ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary: The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting and implementing treatment plans, educating patients on procedures and skincare, and operating complex equipment. They will also be expected to communicate clearly with the healthcare team, patients, and families, while adhering to strict radiation safety guidelines.

Responsibilities: • Interprets and implements prescription and treatment plans as directed by the Radiation Oncologist
• Educates patients on procedures, skincare, side effects, and nutrition
• Performs simulation procedures and prepares immobilization devices for various body parts
• Monitors patient's clinical progress, withhold treatment if necessary, and refers patients to a Radiation Oncologist or Lead Radiation Therapist for appropriate intervention
• Operates the therapeutic equipment, proper patient positioning, monitoring of the patient during the procedure, and related clerical duties

Requirements: • Graduated from an accredited Radiation Therapy School
• Current ARRT and State licensure required and will be verified prior to employment
• Current BLS license required and will be verified prior to employment
• Minimum of six (6) months' experience as a staff therapist is preferred; however, willing to train recent graduates
