Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Long Wave. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and leadership in the development and implementation of complex systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Systems Engineering: Apply engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate military weapons systems, communication systems, and information systems.
  • Architecture Development: Define conceptual, functional/logical, and physical architecture using model-based methods and strategies.
  • Technical Documentation: Review and prepare engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Process Support: Support and facilitate DoD SETR processes and events.
  • Engineering Skills: Assess, interpret, and develop engineering drawings, manuals, standards, and specifications.
  • Team Collaboration: Work as part of a team focused on meeting project goals and timelines.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively in the English language.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of recent and relevant professional experience in an engineering or technical position.
  • Skills: Knowledge, skills, and abilities applying systems engineering practices and methods, proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and US Citizenship.
  • Clearance: Current/Ability to obtain Secret Clearance.
Preferred Requirements
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering: Knowledge, skills, and abilities applying Model-Based Systems Engineering practices.
  • Tool Proficiency: Practical experience with Cameo Systems Modeler or Cameo Enterprise Architect tools.
  • Intellectual Curiosity: Intellectually curious.
  • Active Clearance: Active Secret Clearance.
