Junior Tax Accountant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Tax Accountant to join our team in the US Group Services department. As a Junior Tax Accountant, you will play a key role in assisting with property tax, sales and use tax reporting, sales tax license registrations, business license and certificate registrations, tax resale/exemption certificates, and US state and local tax compliance for all US entities in all US jurisdictions.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with filing, paying, and billing back all property tax filings for all entities in all jurisdictions.
  • Maintain up-to-date property information for each location.
  • Assist with opening and closing property tax accounts as needed to ensure property tax filing compliance based on the currently occupied locations.
  • Research and resolve tax notices for all entities in all jurisdictions.
  • Register and renew sales tax permits and licenses for all entities in all jurisdictions.
  • Work with a 3rd party provider to gather, upload, and review all sales and use tax data and filings for all entities in all state and local jurisdictions.
  • Obtain, distribute, and pay all business licenses and certificates for all entities in all jurisdictions.
  • Track the status of all business licenses and certificates for all entities ensuring compliance in all locations.
  • Obtain all tax resale/exemption certificates for all qualifying entities.
  • Complete all other tasks and projects assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting or related field preferred.
  • One to three years' experience with Sales and Use Tax, Property Tax, and Business Licensing preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy required.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proven ability in complex problem solving and use of solid judgment skills.
  • Proven ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
