We are seeking a talented Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our team in Great Falls, Montana office. This role involves project work from day one, working with experienced engineers, technical specialists, and scientists to help clients address their water and environmental challenges. You will have the opportunity to exercise your creativity and problem-solving skills in a supportive environment where every perspective is valued.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Performing remediation monitoring and overseeing contractors
  • Assisting in the preparation of various regulatory submittals, technical memorandums, and/or engineering design reports
  • Managing, analyzing, evaluating, and interpreting data for use in reports and other visualizations including maps, charts, and 3D models
  • Verifying calculation briefs developed by peers
  • Researching design options and documenting findings for Project Manager/Engineer
  • Providing information to Project Manager/Engineer for incorporation into specifications
  • Assisting in the development of technical documents
  • Supporting business development activities
  • Assisting field investigations and providing construction oversight by following safety policies and thorough documentation of contractor activities and safety procedures
  • Collections samples of soil, groundwater, and other environmental media in support of site investigation and remediation objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably civil engineering with an environmental and stormwater design emphasis, from an accredited program
  • 3 - 10 years of professional experience with an environmental/engineering consulting firm
  • Experience working around construction equipment and/or in a construction environment
  • Familiarity with and a working knowledge of CERCLA
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in the development and implementation of project work plans, schedules, and budgets is a plus
  • Experience with ArcGIS , AutoCAD, modeling and/or database software is a plus
  • Experience with programming languages is a plus (preferably Python, R, and/or SQL)
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training is a plus
