We are seeking an experienced Liquid Silicone Rubber Injection Mold Designer to join our team at M.R. Mold & Engineering Corp.

Job Description

M.R. Mold & Engineering Corp., a leading manufacturer of tight-tolerance, flashless LSR, rubber and plastic prototypes, production, and micro injection molds for medical and dental applications, is currently looking for a skilled designer in the Orange County area.

Responsibilities:
  • Revision control management according to Engineering Change Orders
  • Designing 3D models using Creo software
  • Creating Bill of materials, Detail, and Assembly drawings per ANSI Y14.5 standards using Creo and AutoCAD
  • Collaboration with engineering and sales teams for part design and modifications
  • Evaluating designs based on functionality, materials, manufacturing methods, production costs, and customer specifications
  • Reading and understanding customer-supplied part drawings with emphasis on material callouts, dimensions, and tolerances
  • Communication with customers, suppliers, and vendors via email or phone
  • Assisting team members with miscellaneous tasks as required
  • Meeting deadlines as per engineering schedules
Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Solidworks or Creo for designing parts and assemblies
  • Able to create drawings for parts and assemblies in Solidworks or Creo
  • Familiarity with Solidworks/Pro E tools such as standard features, sheet metal, weldments, mold tools, and piping
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Mechanical aptitude or hands-on experience

$85,000 - $110,000 estimated annual salary depending on experience and qualifications.
