Compensation

The estimated salary for this role is $25-$35 per hour, based on industry standards and location considerations. Additionally, you'll receive Restricted Stock Units in a fast-growing, well-funded technology company.

Job Description

A Day in the Life: As a CNC Machine Operator at Crusoe Fabricators, you'll oversee daily functions of Laser, Punch, and panel bender machines. You'll read and interpret blueprint designs, set up machinery, load feed mechanisms, and make adjustments to ensure parts meet quantity and quality requirements.

  • Reads and interprets blueprint designs of the product to be manufactured and sets machines to produce product/components to customer specification.
  • Enters in programs or does post-production of already existing programs.
  • Sets up machinery to manufacture parts; loads feed mechanism by lifting sheet metal into position.
  • Makes mechanical and/or program adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quantity and quality requirements.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Periodically checks CNC machine to ensure Punch or laser tooling is in good condition and replaces/sharpens tooling when needed.
  • Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
  • Maintains equipment through preventative maintenance; follows manufacturer's instructions, troubleshoots malfunctions, and calls for repairs.
  • Runs tests before the start of operations.
  • Follows safety requirements and maintains certifications.
  • Inspects the machinery and product for quality assurance.
  • Performs daily maintenance on the machinery.
  • Reviews work orders and programs for accuracy as it pertains to designs and verification of required materials for those designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • 3+ years of experience as a CNC Operator or Machinist. Laser and punch experience preferred but not required.
  • Certificate of 2-year technical degree in Machine Technology, Precision Machining, or CNC Operations is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with shop machinery including: Shear, CNC, and Brake Press.
  • Ability to read technical manuals/blueprints/drawings.
  • Methodical/analytical problem-solving skills and strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Strong organizational/follow-up skills; attention to detail.
  • Requires lift, lower, push, and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs.
  • Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for 8 hours or more daily.
