We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Outpatient Counselor to join our team at Cumberland Heights Foundation, Inc.
The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in a related field and have experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Our Outpatient Counselor will provide services that encompass the Eight Domains of Addiction Counseling, including clinical evaluation, treatment planning, referral, service coordination, counseling (individual, family, and group), education, documentation, and professional and ethical responsibilities.
The successful candidate will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to create personalized plans of care that support long-term recovery. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those struggling with addiction and co-occurring disorders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices
- Conduct clinical evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients
- Coordinate patient services across the continuum of care
- Document all clinical activities in patient records according to established policies and procedures
- Participate in regularly scheduled team meetings and supervision
Requirements
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., counseling, counseling psychology, marriage and family therapy, social work)
- 1+ year of experience working with individuals struggling with substance use disorders
- Strong knowledge of 12-step concepts and programs
- Ability to establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and families
