ResponsibilitiesThe Licensed Vocational Nurse delivers both direct and indirect patient care services that necessitate technical and manual skills, within the defined scope of practice. This role addresses the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care while fulfilling the communication needs of patients and their families. The Licensed Vocational Nurse operates under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
QualificationsEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING
1. A current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse.
2. A current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire, which must be maintained.
3. A minimum of one year of experience in a relevant healthcare setting is preferred.
4. ACLS (AHA) certification is required within six months of hire.
5. Basic Arrhythmia (BAC) training must be completed within six months of hire.
6. IV certification is required within six months of hire.
