Key Responsibilities
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments
  • Take medical histories, record vital signs, and perform other administrative tasks
  • Prepare patients for examinations, explain treatment procedures, and provide emotional support
  • Assist with medication administration, documentation, and inventory management
  • Perform CLIA waived and moderate complexity testing, as well as quality control
  • Participate in code white, code blue, and code red situations as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry, including vaccinations and referrals
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control and medical waste management protocols
  • Collaborate with other departments and healthcare professionals to achieve patient-centered care
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current BLS certification
  • One year of experience in a physician's office or clinic preferred
  • Knowledge of computers and medical software
