We are seeking a highly motivated Nutrition Therapist to join our team at HHS Culinary and Nutrition Solutions, LLC in Richmond, VA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding patients, families, and facility staff on all aspects of medical nutrition therapy to create a healthy and healing environment. This includes building relationships with physicians and nursing to support patient satisfaction and achieve quality care that meets each patient's nutritional needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough nutritional assessments and provide evidence-based interventions for both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Develop and implement educational programs for patients, families, nursing, food service, and other facility staff on nutritional needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, goals, and interventions in the medical record.
  • Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care and outcomes.
  • Manage physician orders for therapeutic diets and supplements, ensuring timely and effective implementation.
  • Stay up-to-date with regulatory requirements and maintain clinical nutrition policies to support compliance.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food and Nutrition or related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registered Dietitian (RD) with Commission of Dietetic Registration certification and licensure as required by state regulations.
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards and experience with electronic health records.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • A competitive salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a $3,000 sign-on bonus.
