Patient Safety Coordinator

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to coordinate our patient safety efforts. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement strategies to prevent and control the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Coordinate Patient Safety Initiatives: Plan, organize, develop, and coordinate the overall operation of our Patient Safety and Prevention Program, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
  2. Collaborate with Center Leadership: Work closely with center leadership to prevent and control the development and transmission of communicable diseases and infections.
  3. Evaluate and Improve Patient Safety Plans: Assess and re-evaluate annual patient safety and prevention goals and plans to ensure continuous improvement.
  4. Track and Report Incidents: Record, track, and trend surveillance and investigation of incidents, reporting findings to the center QAPI committee.
RequirementsRegistered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Nursing Diploma: Possess a minimum Nursing Diploma with associated RN or LPN license from an accredited college or university.
  • Certificate/Degree: Hold a certificate/diploma or degree in nursing, microbiology, or epidemiology, or an Associate's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science.
  • Certification: Obtain certification in Infection Control as specified by Appendix PP at F880 prior to assuming the role in patient safety and prevention.
  • Qualifications: Be a compassionate, dedicated, and job well-done individual.
Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
