Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Custodial Unit Director to join our team on the night shift. As a Custodial Unit Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness, sanitation, and security of the assigned buildings. You will supervise and direct janitorial personnel, ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate work activities of janitorial personnel to ensure efficient and effective cleaning services.
  • Supervise, direct, and develop supervisors and hourly employees in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through high-quality standards and maintain a safe and equitable environment.
  • Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding janitorial services.
  • Secure and maintain equipment, and ensure buildings have sufficient janitorial supplies.
  • Train, discipline, and recommend dismissals of employees as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • College degree preferred.
  • One to two years of experience as a supervisor in a housekeeping or service-related field with high customer/client contact.
  • Strong work ethic, intense drive, and initiative for quality and customer service.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, both one-on-one and in group situations.
  • Ability to engage and motivate staff.
  • Understanding of budgeting processes and awareness of profit and loss concepts.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
