Teach Low Brass Music at Southern Nazarene University

We are seeking an exceptional instructor to teach applied low brass lessons to music majors and non-majors at our university.

The successful candidate will be committed to teaching excellence, innovation, and program development. This may include providing assistance with departmental ensembles. The ideal candidate will also maintain a local and regional performing profile that will attract quality low brass students to the university.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Teach applied lessons in low brass (Trombone, Euphonium, Tuba)
  • Work with the Director of Bands in program development and recruitment efforts
Qualifications:
  • A strong personal Christian commitment and alignment with the SNU mission
  • An understanding of the importance for diversity, inclusion and equity
  • Masters degree in music
  • Minimum of two years of related work experience and/or relevant training
  • Experience teaching low brass at the high school level
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple demands in fast paced work environment
Estimated Salary: $50,000 - $70,000 per year
