Job Summary

This role involves EDI relationship ownership between Distributor and Foodbuy regarding onboarding and collection of all Customer Account Numbers. You will proactively engage with distributor partners to ensure complete and accurate collection/processing of transaction-level reporting from hundreds of distributor locations representing over $25 billion in annual spend across the U.S. and Canada.

You will use persuasive communication skills to recover distributor data and overcome obstacles to resolution. Consistent follow-up with Distributors regarding data gaps identified in Trend Analysis reports is also required.

Responsibilities

  • Consistent follow-up with Distributors regarding data gaps identified in Trend Analysis reports.
  • Display sense of urgency when dealing with critical and time-sensitive EDI failures.
  • Facilitate ongoing weekly phone calls with priority distribution partners to discuss progress, address challenges, and negotiate solutions.
  • Present analysis and issues to management and solicit feedback, escalating to management quickly when needed.
  • Resolve customer challenges, ad-hoc requests, and concerns.
  • Generate and maintain reports used for analysis and management of daily workload.
  • Continuously seek to improve processes by applying innovative and strategic thinking and by monitoring and evaluating industry best practices.
  • Execute against annually provided SMART KPIs.
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams to drive operational excellence and support Compass/Foodbuy initiatives (eVIA, Supply Chain, Compass hierarchy, etc).
  • Ensure that all dealings with suppliers, clients, and internal personnel are carried out professionally/ethically and with the highest integrity.
  • Engages in ad hoc financial analysis and special projects, contributing to the continued growth of the business.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • A detail-oriented self-starter adept at driving results independently, efficiently managing conflicting priorities to meet deadlines.
  • Experience with repetitive data-driven and master data processes.
  • Able to follow repetitive Best Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, and process workflows on a daily/weekly/monthly basis.
  • Customer/Stakeholder focused, analytical-minded with the capability to problem solve.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a proven ability to navigate change and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Innovative and numbers-oriented mindset with the ability to implement creative solutions to process inefficiencies or complex ad-hoc problems.
  • Familiarity across any of the following platforms a plus: Formula writing, VBA, SQL, PowerBI.
  • Prior experience in a corporate environment a plus.
  • Negotiation skills and the ability to influence stakeholders a plus.
  • Financial or trend analysis experience preferred.
  • Supplier and customer interaction experience preferred.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented, with the ability to identify and analyze subtle trends and patterns within complex datasets.
  • Enhances communication skills to articulate complex data findings clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Minimal travel required (typically to the corporate office in Charlotte).
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000 per year.
