About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Sanitation Laborer to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As a key member of our production team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the production line operation by maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Timely disassemble and reassemble equipment, and perform cleaning and sanitation tasks as required.
  • Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly cleaned and sanitized to prevent contamination and maintain product quality.
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to identify and address any equipment or facility issues.
  • Follow standard operating procedures and complete necessary paperwork to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a sanitation or similar role in a distribution environment is preferred.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions and labels.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for long periods.
