Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Canopy Guide at Long Hollow Canopy Tours. As a Canopy Guide, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to all guests, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
  • Facilitate guests' experience on tour, supervising their participation and ensuring their safety.
  • Ensure all course operations are conducted in accordance with safety standards, fitting harnesses and helmets correctly and supervising the use of personal safety equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with co-guides, outpost staff, and management, both in person and via radio.
  • Conduct participant ground school and pre-screening, ensuring guests are properly prepared for the tour.
  • Attend ongoing trainings and team meetings throughout the season, staying up-to-date on safety procedures and best practices.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, assisting with retail and ticket sales as needed.
  • Provide in-park guests transportation by ATV, if applicable.
  • Perform technical rescues as needed, assessing and managing risk in dynamic conditions.
  • Inspect all personal protective equipment (PPE) prior to and after use, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Properly inspect all course components and course gear, reporting any issues or concerns.
  • Complete post-trip and other necessary paperwork, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be 18 or older; Must be 21 to drive vehicles.
  • Risk management experience preferred.
  • Must pass initial training.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and work as an effective team member.
  • Ability to speak in front of large groups effectively.
  • Ability to work long hours and irregular shifts in a multi-task environment.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Dependable, responsible, reliable, and able to take directions as needed.
Physical Abilities
  • Must have ability to perform work at height.
  • Must be able to perform all technical rescue associated with the park (training provided).
  • This position may require walking and standing for long periods of time in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to climb a ladder.
Schedule

We require a flexible schedule with full availability on weekends and all holidays. The season runs from May to October, with trainings taking place in April and May. Full season availability is preferred but not required.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $13.50/hour.
