We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychologist II to join our team at the Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). As a Forensic Evaluator, you will be responsible for conducting advanced psychological work, including competency evaluations, violence risk assessments, and forensic psychological assessments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, support, and coordinate forensic psychological activities and programs.
- Conduct evaluations of forensic patients on 46B/46C/Chapter 55 commitments.
- Provide consultation, training, and guidance on the appropriate application of forensic evaluations.
- Provide expert testimony to courts regarding forensic psychological evaluations.
- Supervise the work of others and graduate psychology trainees as assigned.
- Must be licensed as a Psychologist by the State of Texas or a reciprocity state.
- A doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited institution of higher education.
- At least one year of supervised experience by a licensed psychologist in the field of psychological services.
