Quality Control Inspector 1st Shift

Flowserve Corporation is a world-leading manufacturer and aftermarket service provider of comprehensive flow control systems. We are seeking a Quality Control Inspector to join our team in a 1st shift role.

Job Summary:

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for performing documented inspections to verify conformance of parts to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and statutory and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for defining, advising, and controlling all project required QC documents.

Responsibilities:
  • Documenting dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures
  • Documenting non-conforming material utilizing an NCR (nonconforming materials) process
  • Reviewing and verifying internal and external qualifications of suppliers, welders, NDE personnel with regard to Non-Destructive Examinations (NDE), welding procedures, and/or other applicable requirements
  • Reviewing and approving supplier's manufacturing and testing documents/procedures and taking care for approval (when required) of these documents by the customer, his customer, and the authorized inspection body
  • Preparing and defining test and inspection requirements for the required projects such as ITP and procurement specifications
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma / GED and 3-5 years relevant experience
  • Metrology experience
  • Knowledge of inspection equipment generally found in machining, assembly, and test operations
  • Flexible, eager to learn, accurate, analytical with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Good interpersonal, communication, negotiation, analytical, and presentation skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Operational Excellence & High Level of Customer Service Standard
Preferred Skills/Experience:
  • Effective utilization of CMMs is a plus
  • Knowledge of welding, NDE, and quality systems
  • Knowledge of the established quality standards, laws, and regulations of national and international authorities
