Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at La Villa Grande Care Center in Grand Junction, CO. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and excellent benefits.
Estimated Salary: $30,000 - $40,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Job DescriptionThe Physical Therapist Assistant will work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OTR) to carry out treatment plans for patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, evaluating functional needs and outcomes, and consulting with other specialists as needed.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and evaluate functional needs and outcomes
- Consult with other specialists as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Design and implement a plan of care for patients based on a thorough assessment of potential development and incorporates participation by significant others whenever it seems appropriate
- Conduct therapy practice within defined standards of care
- Direct the assistance of support staff to achieve patients' functional goals
- Communicate effectively with other professional and support staff to achieve positive patient outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A graduate degree from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved physical therapy program
- At least one year of experience as a physical therapy aide
- A current license from the state Board of Physical Therapy Examiners
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English sufficient to fulfill job requirements
- Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions, solve practical problems, and interpret instructions
