We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced MRI Technologist to join our team as a Travel Diagnostic Imaging Specialist. As a key member of our radiology team, you will be responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bodies for diagnostic purposes.
- Perform patient studies according to established protocols, including placing specified coils close to areas of interest.
- Interview patients to explain MRI procedures, address concerns, and exhibit exceptional tact, courtesy, and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors.
- Ensure patient and staff safety by explaining safety protocols, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and monitoring patients via closed-circuit TV.
- Orient new hires and train MRI Technologists, students, and trainees.
- 2+ years of experience as a MRI Technologist with a strong knowledge of procedures and patient safety.
- License in the required state.
- BLS certification.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
- Ability to learn applications relevant to the position.
- 2+ years of hospital experience in a clinical area, preferably in EP.
- A competitive pay package based on 10-hour shifts and 40 hours per week.
- A tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
