Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant

HealthPro Heritage is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team in Windham, CT.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to provide high-quality care to our residents. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our Physical Therapist to develop and implement treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide physical therapy treatments to residents according to treatment plans developed by the Physical Therapist.
  • Assist the Physical Therapist when performing tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures.
  • Observe, record, and report to the therapist the conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties.
  • Maintain daily records of treatments and document progress notes on residents as directed by the therapist.
  • Assist with admission screening.
  • Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals, as appropriate.
  • Assist with the care of the physical therapy department and equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved Physical Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current license or eligible for license under statutes in the state of practice.
  • Prefer experience in a setting serving the same age/type of resident population served by this facility.
  • Excellent oral and written communication (neat handwriting) and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and follow the directions of the Physical Therapist and the policies and procedures of the facility.
