Auto Repair Specialist

Welcome to Safelite Group, Inc., a renowned provider of auto glass repair and replacement services. As a Auto Repair Specialist, you will play a vital role in our team by performing vehicle glass repairs when replacements are not necessary.
About the RoleYou will undergo comprehensive training, which includes both classroom and hands-on instruction, to equip you with the necessary skills to excel in this position. Our goal is to provide you with the expertise to successfully complete these specialized repairs, regardless of prior mechanical experience.
In addition to our training program, you will receive a competitive weekly base pay starting at $18.30/hour, all the tools and resources needed to succeed, and the opportunity to develop a fulfilling career.
Key Responsibilities- Learn to repair vehicle glass under the guidance of experienced technicians and Safelite leaders.
- Repair chips, cracks, and other auto glass-related issues on customer vehicles.
- Manage work orders, customer documentation, and communication through Safelite's Mobile Resource Management technology.
- Clean customer vehicles during wait/idle time and perform additional housekeeping tasks in company vehicles and shops.
- Safely and professionally operate company fleet vehicles to and from customer locations.
- High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent required.
- Valid state-issued driver's license required.
- On-the-job training/completion of Safelite SafeTech certification.
- Able to operate a Safelite van while following safety, cleanliness policies, traffic laws, and maintaining a safe driving record.
- Flexibility with hours and days trained/worked as workloads fluctuate.
- Comfort working outside in various weather conditions.
- Present a professional appearance and wear personal protective equipment.
- Physical requirements: lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs for short periods, assisting an associate with lifting windshields weighing 26 lbs to 50 lbs, safely operating various equipment including hand and power tools, working at elevated heights, and remaining on your feet for extended periods.
