Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at White-Wilson Medical Center, P.A. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing functions for physicians and extenders, ensuring accurate and timely care.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, adhering to clinical standards and protocols.
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during patient examinations, tests, and treatments.
  • Observe, record, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments.
  • Dispense medications as directed and maintain accurate records.
  • Oversee appointment bookings, ensuring timely patient flow and prioritizing emergency situations.
  • Assist in maintaining exam rooms, ensuring necessary supplies and materials are available.
  • Screen patients for relevant information and instruct them on collection of samples and tests.
  • Assist in scheduling tests, treatments, surgeries, or admissions.
  • Respond to and refer incoming telephone calls, providing excellent customer service.
  • Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions.
  • Formulate and update patient care plans, ordering and preparing patient charts.
  • Maintain basic knowledge of medical coding and stay up-to-date with annual changes and updates.
  • Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain professional affiliations.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and consistently display a positive attitude and commitment to excellence.
  • Perform point-of-care testing and venipuncture, ensuring accurate and safe blood sample collection.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
  • One year of professional nursing experience in a clinic setting, preferred.
  • Possession of a State LPN Nurse license.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • IV Certification preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to successfully write business correspondence and effectively present information.
  • Ability to recognize and define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and correct errors.
  • Ability to understand and interpret basic financial data.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in a variety of forms and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Work Environment

Works in a well-lit, ventilated, and climate-controlled office environment with routine office equipment.

Noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
