About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory of medications and supplies, ensuring that our pharmacy is well-stocked and ready to meet the needs of our patients.
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation of medication orders, including the preparation of intravenous admixtures and the labeling and dispensing of inpatient unit dose medications.
  • Deliver medications to patient care areas in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring that our patients receive the medications they need to recover and thrive.
  • Participate in quality-assurance and safety activities, including the collection and review of patient-specific data used by pharmacists for monitoring drug therapy.
  • Assume responsibility for the performance of job duties in the safest possible manner, ensuring personal safety and the safety of coworkers.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid New Jersey Pharmacy Technician registration or 180-day waiver required.
  • PTCB or ExCPT Certification required within 6 months of start of employment.
