Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team in the Yukon Kuskokwim region. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Job SummaryThe Diagnostic Medical Sonographer will be responsible for performing sonographic examinations on patients of all ages, from newborns to geriatric patients. This role requires a strong understanding of diagnostic medical sonography principles and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough sonographic examinations to diagnose various medical conditions.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records of patient examinations, including imaging results and reports.
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- A graduate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- At least two years of post-graduate experience in diagnostic medical sonography.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and images.
This role requires working in a fast-paced clinical environment, with exposure to varying levels of noise and stress. The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer may be required to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of patients and the department.
Compensation and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
