We are seeking a skilled Grounds Specialist to join our team at SCI. As a Grounds Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the appearance and functionality of our cemetery grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a variety of equipment and vehicles used in cemetery operations, construction, maintenance, and repair.
  • Perform semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of grounds equipment and cemetery roads.
  • Securely open and close interments, entombments, and inurnments.
  • Install memorials and markers.
  • Prepare graves and maintain cemetery grounds.
  • Locate grave sites according to section, lot, and plot numbers and mark areas to be excavated.

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate a variety of equipment and vehicles.
  • Physical stamina to perform semi-skilled tasks.
  • Attention to detail to ensure accurate grave site locations.
