About the Job

We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Technologist to join our sleep center team at The Christ Hospital Health Network. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing related to sleep, registering patients as needed, and completing all required documentation in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Performing multiple sleep latency tests, maintenance of wakefulness tests, parasomnia studies, PAP oxygen titration, and collecting appropriate data and compiling for reading physician
  • Implementing appropriate intervention necessary for the safety of the patients and therapeutic interventions such as continuous and bi-level positive airway pressures and oxygen administration
  • Preparing and calibrating equipment required for testing to determine proper function and notifying clinical engineers if service is required
  • Applying electrodes and sensors according to accepted standards and performing appropriate physiologic calibrations to ensure proper signals

Requirements

  • Certification by a nationally recognized certification board and holds either the Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), or Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) credential
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in sleep diagnostics or related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
