Position Overview: The Electrical Panel Assembler is responsible for executing both electrical and mechanical assembly tasks. This role requires proficiency in cutting and punching metal, mounting hardware, constructing DIN rail assemblies, and ensuring accurate wiring installation and termination. The assembler is expected to be versatile, demonstrating skills across various assembly tasks including soldering, enclosure assembly, and cable wiring. Each assembler should be capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment, maintaining productivity at each designated station.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble enclosures with components following engineering specifications.
- Modify, terminate, and install cabling, wires, or harnesses both inside and outside of enclosures.
- Execute cutting and punching of DIN housing and rail.
- Construct DIN mounted terminal assemblies.
- Assemble product modifications and kits as needed.
- Ensure product compliance with engineering drawings and industry standards.
- Operate CNC Laser, engraving, and thermal printing equipment.
- Utilize power and hand tools, including hydraulic presses, drill presses, and miter saws.
- Package products for shipment effectively.
- Maintain a steady workflow and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate positively with team members.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving abilities.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with tolerance and torque specifications.
- Ability to interpret and convert metric and imperial measurements.
- Proficient in reading engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Experience in wiring and soldering.
- Competence in computer applications such as Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Willingness to work overtime as necessary.
Educational Background:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED is required. Relevant academic training from a recognized technical, science, or engineering institution may be considered in lieu of experience.
Physical Requirements:
To effectively perform the essential duties of this role, the employee must regularly stand, walk, and utilize hands and fingers with dexterity. The position requires reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include the ability to see clearly at various distances, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to adjust focus readily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. The role may involve working at heights of up to 18 feet.
