This position is responsible for scheduling surgical and anesthesia care provider procedures in accordance with established protocols.
It involves coordinating available resources for optimal utilization.
Responsibilities include gathering patient and procedural information, printing, distributing, and updating schedules, maintaining statistical records, and performing data entry and retrieval tasks.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are essential.
In addition to scheduling duties, the Surgical Scheduling Supervisor will oversee daily operations, participate in the hiring and onboarding of new staff, provide training and education, and engage in quality and compliance initiatives.
Qualifications:
In addition to embodying humankindness in the workplace, qualified candidates should possess the following:
High School Diploma or GED
Familiarity with Medical Terminology
Proficient computer skills
Ability to perform light work, including exerting/lifting up to 20 lbs. occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently)
