Meat Cutter Job Description

Fresh Thyme Farmers Market is seeking a skilled Meat Cutter to join our team. As a Meat Cutter, you will be responsible for maintaining the quality and presentation of our meat department, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stock and face meat cases, ensuring accurate pricing and product rotation
  • Maintain a clean and organized meat department, adhering to health and safety standards
  • Assist customers with purchases and provide product information and recommendations
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as knives, scales, and wrappers
  • Prepare and package meat products according to company standards
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a meat department or related field
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Basic math and measurement skills
