Costume Designer

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking a skilled Costume Technician to join our team. As a Costume Technician, you will be responsible for the construction and maintenance of show costumes for our current and new shows, special events, and costume characters.

• Construct and maintain show costumes, including sewing, alterations, and repairs.
• Perform daily show costume repairs, fittings, and alterations as needed.
• Conduct training for new costume shop ambassadors.
• Maintain various props, overlays, and costumes.
• Work with the cast, crew, and stage management to maintain safety and integrity of shows, workspaces, venues, and dressing rooms.

• Flexibility to perform varied duties.
• Proficient in costume construction using existing patterns, design build, alterations, and maintenance of show costumes.
• Must be proficient in craftwork, gluing, and painting of fabrics and accessories; hand-sewing and machine sewing.
• Must have proficient knowledge of and ability to use basic/advanced hand tools related to the costume industry.
