Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join our team at St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center. As a Labor and Delivery RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to laboring patients, new mothers, and newborns.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to laboring patients, including those with high-risk pregnancies and those requiring medical interventions.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Administer medications and perform procedures as needed, including fetal monitoring and labor augmentation.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any concerns to the healthcare team.
  • Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections, and provide postpartum care to new mothers.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho.
  • Experience in Labor and Delivery, with a focus on high-risk pregnancies and medical interventions.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
Work Environment

As a Labor and Delivery RN at St. Luke's Meridian Medical Center, you will work in a state-of-the-art facility with a team of experienced healthcare professionals. You will have access to the latest medical technology and equipment, including fetal monitoring systems and labor augmentation tools.

The unit is equipped with 10 labor and delivery beds, 2 operating rooms for cesarean sections, and 4 triage beds. The team follows AWHONN guidelines for patient ratios, with a focus on providing individualized care to each patient.
