Aluminum Plant Supervisor

The Aluminum Plant Supervisor is a critical leadership position responsible for ensuring the safety and health of employees under their direction. This involves recognizing and reducing risk, managing processes to prevent incidents, and promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise and guidance to production, maintenance, planning, quality, and engineering personnel.
- Coach and counsel employees on standard operating procedures and best practices to enhance performance.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts, develop process improvements, and enhance productivity.
- Accountable for traditional administrative tasks of crew leaders.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years of supervisory experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills to communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Good computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office.
- Progressive thinker who can initiate change.
- Available to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
- Associates degree in a technical discipline.
- Supervisory experience in a union environment.
- Experience working in a smelter.
- Knowledge of ABS or Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Competitive compensation packages, including pay-for-performance variable pay and recognition and rewards programs.
