We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler I to join our team at RTX. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the assembly and inspection of mechanical components.
Key Responsibilities- Operate automated welding machines and other equipment to assemble and inspect mechanical components.
- Inspect own work to ensure quality and conformance to workmanship standards, engineering requirements, and design specifications.
- Meet productivity expectations to meet customer deadlines and comply with all rules and regulations of RTX.
- Participate in cost reduction plans and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve department objectives and develop individual skills.
- Typically a high school diploma or equivalent is required; in some cases, relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- U.S. Person or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
- Manufacturing experience is strongly preferred, as is a Career Readiness Certification (CRC).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Intermediate computer skills and ability to learn new software programs.
