Position Overview:

As the Stadium Music Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in elevating the spectator experience by managing the audio atmosphere through music, sound effects, and more, in alignment with directives from your Producer. Collaborating closely with the production team, you will oversee sound effect software, music tracks, and mixing equipment during games and other live events, ensuring a captivating and dynamic auditory experience at key moments throughout the event. Your contributions will create lasting memories for attendees by providing an engaging soundtrack that amplifies the excitement of the game.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage audio equipment and software during pregame, in-game, and postgame activities, including transitions between batters, pitches, and breaks in play.
  • Work in tandem with the Producer and Showcaller to deliver specific music and sound effect elements as required.
  • Monitor game progression closely and make timely decisions regarding audio content, including music tempo, genre, interactive fan prompts, and sponsorship activations.
  • Coordinate with the public address announcer and scoreboard operator to ensure audio tracks and cues are accurate and synchronized with other game elements.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues with the audio system promptly to maintain an uninterrupted listening experience.
  • Develop and continuously update the music library and sound effect collection, including editing tracks as necessary.
  • Organize and manage content such as walk-up songs, music genres, and hotkeys.
  • Participate in any pre-production or post-production meetings and rehearsals as required.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating audio systems or similar DJ/mixing experience, preferably in a sports or entertainment context.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple audio streams and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with adaptability to changing game situations and audience preferences.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with production team members and game operations staff.
  • A passion for baseball and a solid understanding of the game's nuances, enabling you to anticipate key moments and deliver compelling audio content.
  • Willingness to attend all home games.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as events may occur during non-traditional hours.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for baseball and a desire to capture the essence of the game through audio.
Compensation:

This part-time seasonal position offers a competitive hourly wage, and the role will continue throughout the season.
